Ivey {sold}
I first saw Ivey (a long time ago) waiting for someone to rescue her from the furniture hallways at a local resale shop. I loved her but her price tag was much higher than my budget would allow. As I kept going back to the store in my weekly furniture shopping trips, she kept looking at me asking me to take her home. Since she had been there for a while, I asked the manager if he’d be willing to sell it at a reduced price… it worked! Ivey came home with me, well she came to storage with me.
She has wonderful lines and the marble is gorgeous but all that wood grain takes away from her beauty. I had it posted for a while under my to be transformed pieces. She was claimed by someone out of town and they picked French gray for the makeover color. I was very excited since the marble has a gray vein throughout and gray is one of my favorite colors!
Here she is after paint, distressing and glaze.
A close up to appreciate the color and detail
And a look at the bottom section without the mirror
Isn’t she a beauty???
The lady who had claimed her unfortunately was not able to pick her up but we promptly found a home for her. My husband and I delivered her to her new home and I was so excited to see how happy her new owner was to have her.
