Layla {sold}
I found this little coffee table a while back at a garage sale. Someone had already gotten creative and started to give it a makeover. I’m glad they started with the top and stopped there because it would have been a nightmare to strip the paint from all the carvings.
I had to sand quite a bit to bring the top back to a smooth surface, they had applied several coats of paint to their design. April (the lady who purchased this table from me) chose a soft buttery yellow for the make-over and wanted the legs and sides distressed to highlight all the details. April happens to be a wonderful photographer and she sent me a photo of Layla at her new home.
The next few photos are not quite as good as April’s, I NEED a better camera and photography lessons!
I love seeing pictures of my pieces once they are at their new homes so if you are reading and I have painted a piece for you… please send me a photo!
