Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I have found a new love! … upholstery! No, that doesn’t mean that I stopped loving painting furniture, it just means that I have found something to complement it.
I can’t describe the satisfaction of turning something like this:
Into something like this:
The chair wasn’t in terrible shape but it needed to be reupholstered.
I found this fabric at Hobby Lobby and I thought it would be perfect for it.
A little bit of paint and a little bit of trim (and lots of patience and staples)
The black frame coordinates perfectly with the fabric!
Did you happen to see the matching couch in the background of the before picture? That’s my next project!!! I’m going in a completely different direction from the chair. I can’t wait to get started!
